One of the most modern gravure print shops, with a broad range of magazines and brochures, required a quick mode of transport to move out palletised printouts. Limited floor space and the added complication of forklift trucks moving to the printing machines made it difficult to meet exit demands. Following careful examination and advice from Schierholz, the customer decided upon a floor-free Electric Monorail System. This travels along the front side of the printing machinery and takes the loaded palettes to dispatch to be transported further.
The Electric Monorail System is a further developed and modified version of the automobile industry’s standardised VDI-C1-system The system is also adequate for the use of palettes. In this way, the requirement was solved efficiently and economically and the transport was speeded up by a multipul factor.
